Ingame Video Causes Crashing

I've just started playing Civ 4 a few days ago, and I'm having a recurring problem with most of the videos that try to play in the game, such as those that play when you complete a wonder. Most of the time the window for the video appears, but it is empty and I have to open an Advisor window to make it go away. Sometimes, however, when the video starts to play it will crash Civ 4 back to the desktop. I didn't see anything in the game options about turning off these videos, so my question is, is there a way to do this?

My system specs are:
Alienware Area-51m Laptop
1 gb RAM
3 ghz P4 processor
128mb Nvidia Go5700 video card

The videos are likely too much for your video card to handle, so turn them off for the time being until the low-res movies are released whenever that will be. Open the CivilizationIV.ini file and look for the line:

; Set to 1 for no in-game movies
NoMovies = 0

Just change the '0' to '1' and hopefully it will stop crashing.
