what version do you play (normal retail, civ4 complete, steam, direct2drive)?
what exactly is the error?
are you using windows xp or vista?

i am having the same prob. I have civ4 dd with 1.74dd patch, ibought the retail version of bts since i no longer have a credit card 2 purchase the dd version online, direct 2 drive says it is compatible but??? fatal error pyth. wil not initialize. let me know if any1 can help pls, thx.

oh ihave windows xp sp2 and i patched 2 ver 3.13 thinkin it might fix ,but no luck. why is bts such a problem riddled game, second copy i have installed ,problems with both,fixed buddies prob, was up till 3am last night tryin 2 fix mine grrr
