What will happen if we end up with a dangling reference, by failing to define who is the DP Pool Manager?

A suggestion, either add version .1 to the OP or link the OP to the version .1 post. This way everyone doesn't have to search through the whole thread for every change.

The DP May also post a poll requesting that DP be removed from the pool.

Does that mean the Designated Player posts the poll? Or the DP Pool Manager?

Also, maybe there should be a mechanism for the DP to step down?

This was not asked or even noticed before now. Typically we allow any official to resign at any time. So a DP who wants out of the pool can just resign.

ah... But If the DP resigns, say an hour before he's scheduled to play, that could throw a real hammer in the works, couldn't it?

Nope... But in that case I would think that the play session should be rescheduled... So that whoever plays instead can read through the instructions properly and all
