Install Error

I just bought Civ IV today. It wont Install. The install launches fine, it prompts me for Disk 2. When I put in the 2nd disk and hit OK, a pop up error message comes up stating "Catastrophic Failure".

The popup is titled: Feature Transfer Error
Feature: DefaultFeature

Error: Catastrophic Failure

Ive read thru these forums and best I can find is my "All Users" folder is "read-only". Ive tried everything I can to remove the read-only attrib, but nothing worked (booted into safe-mode. Logged in as Admin. etc.), but I dont even know if that is the problem.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I finished installing Civ4, after exchanging my disks for new ones. Everything appears to work fine now. Aparently Disk 2 was defective.

I bought the game yesterday, and have exactly the same "catastrophic" installation failure, and the identical error dialog. My Disk 2 has only one file on it, named "data3.cab".
Did you have to go back to the retailer for the exchange?

Take it back to the retailer - insist on an exchange - in law he cant refuse if its a defective disc (which is what that error message means)
