Installation Problem

OK, here's the deal:
My hard drive is partitioned into a couple of different sections. I had Civ3 (complete) installed on one of these partitions, and that worked just fine. When I formatted my windows drive, the game stopped working. On top of that, there is a problem with my third installation disk, preventing me from making a fresh install. Is there any way I could edit the registry to make windows (xp pro) recognise my installation of civ3 again or something? (at the moment, civ simply CTDs)

Any help would be much appreciated.

when you formatted the drive, the whole registry was deleted, can you post the problem with running the program, like when you click it does it not start up, or does it start up the crash.
