Installation / Running Failure: BTS, VISTA update

My laptop with Windows Vista recently updated with the "Update for Windows Vista (KB955430) five days ago. Now Civ IV BTS/Warlords doesn't work.

I uninstalled all three, reinstalled vanilla and updated with patches.

- Vanilla works.

- Warlords installed but didn't load. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall and now it won't install.

- BTS gets about 2/3 into the install process and then stops with an error:

"Feature Transfer Error
Feature: Default Feature
File: E:\data2.cab
Error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)"

Any ideas?

the crc error points to a dirty/scratched disc - try cleaning it with a soft dry cloth.
Is there any error message when Warlords does not run? Did you install it with admin rights?

I've had (KB955430) installed for three weeks and no problems at all. There has to be something else that has changed in your system to mess things up.
