Installed MOD doesnt show up!

I cannot play any mod. I download it then i go to installed click on install mods and then mod DOESNT show up in installed mod list. I check in C:/mydocuments/mygames/civ 5/mods and the mod i download is there and already extracted (there is a *.modinfo file there), but still it doesn't show up. Anyone know what this is? It shows as downloaded, but does not show up in "Installed Mods".

ps1 I have red all relative topics i found about this issue in this forum but still i cant find a solution.
Is there any way to enable the MODS manually not though the game? I want to play true start location maps by all means

Generally speaking, Maps go in the Maps directory, not the MODS directory. You then select them through the pulldown in the Setup menu, not the Browse Mods screen you have shown there.

There's some overlap between the two, of course, since many maps also link to a specific mod. But if all your map is adding is a custom map script or a custom predefined map, it often won't show up on that list.

You also might have a problem with your installation, to where it's pointing to the wrong directory for certain things. This does happen on occasion, and the simplest way to fix it is to edit your registry by hand, but I'd hold off on that until you work out the other possibilities.

Tnx for reply! Well when i download a map i put it in maps folder. The problem here is with mods. I cannot install any kind of mod. Even if i install the mod through game even if i install it manualy from folder (copy paste into the mod folder and extract) i cannot enable it after this. Any idea how to fix this? Help!!!!
