(1) When trying to use the "mouse over" to gain information, I happens from time to time that the information displayied on "mouse over" is from whatever is behind the thing you want information about. for example, doing mouse over on an promotion could give you information about a desert square behind the "promotion".

(2) On the main menu, custom game, your name isn't saved, you have to type in your name for every new game you start.

(3) Main menu, Custom game -> You can't chose civilization, you can only chose leader.

To save your name, open up the ini file in the civ folder (I forget the name offhand, but it's something like _civcfg.ini) and there is a place in there to set the default name.

I just want to point out that I have this problem as well, and I suspect it's a common problem, not a graphic card related one. It's really one of the more annoying issues with an otherwise great game. :(

And if Firaxis ever gets to fixing this, they may want to look into this issue as well: When you mouse over the advisor icons in the upper right of the screen, the tooltip telling you which advisor you are mousing over appears in the lower left of the screen. I guess there was no beta test? Usually that kind of stuff gets weeded out in the first week of a beta test.

i also have the tooltip issue.

also, in the foreign advisors window(f4) when you move to another tab and then come back to the first one, the key text for what the colors means is gone. closing and re-opening the (f4) window allows the text to re-appear.
