International rating 2443 and IM - anyone wanna play!?

I agree, it should be interesting to climb up the rankings if i was able.

Well if you're not able to climb the ranking rated 2400+ there's definately something fishy going on here.

...no price for being at the top

How about that warm fuzzy feeling when you win a game? Not that I've had that... yet.

So basically you have no problems spending 10 years becomming an IM, but not enough time playing a few games after that? :)

Hey, i was going to school, had lot of free time but now i am a student and working pretty much. Sometimes its even hard to find time to get access to internet and post here.

Yeah, I know what it's like to work full time. Luckily I don't right now.

How did you reach a 2400+ rating, did you read a lot of chess books, did you have a good coach or did you just play a lot of games?

Maybe a combination. I've been playing for 2 deccades soon and my first digit is nowhere near a "2".

Maybe I just have no talent what-so-ever.

First, its important to have a talent (maybe sounds somewhat arrogant but it is so), then if you found a good trainer you could become a very good chess player...plus the money to travel arround the world and play lots of chess. AND its very important to love to play chess and never give up in critical moments - training, training, training... These four factors rarely are met together, i had talent, i had trainers, i love chess but dont have enough money to become a proffesional but maybe i didnt want it, i dont know.
