I've looked through several forums but haven't been able to find any reference to a problem I'm having. I apologize if I've missed a discussion of my problem that's already on the board.
I can load a mod fine and begin a new game. When I try to load a save played with a mod, I get an endless loop of restarts that feature the error message saying my mod directory is invalid. My mods are in the place the game put them (C:\documents and settings\username\my doucuments\sid meier's dvilization 4\mods\modsname). When the save game starts up it says "the following mod must be loaded Mods\C:\documents and settings\username\my doucuments\sid meier's dvilization 4\mods\modsname". When I click ok the game restarts and I get the message "mods\C:\documents and settings\username\my doucuments\sid meier's dvilization 4\mods\modsname is and invalid mod directory, ignoring".
I've tried several things to get rid of the extra 'mods' at the from of the path that including hexediting the save game but with no luck. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
