I'm in the middle of a game playing the Iroquois in Warlord on a huge pangea with middle settings everywhere (space race disabled, production accelerated).

I built a nice ring and a half of cities and lucked out on goody huts to get way ahead in technology. I gifted my civs with tenspots of gold when they made ludicrous offers for techs or demanded them outright. I accepted all reasonable trades and made a few fair counter offers. They rewarded me by declaring war on me all at once. I staved them off with Ancient Cavalry from the Statue of Zeus and tons of catupults/trebuchets. But my infrastructure and scientific progress fell behind. I had the Pyrimids as well, so once my infrastructure started to grow, I built a bunch of banks and universities and I'm hauling ass to catch up.

That's when things got weird. I've been toggling the science slider and switching cities in and out of "wealth" mode to blast forward in science while building universities, banks, cathedrals, etc. I don't know how I'm going to win, but strong culture and a strong bankroll seem to be my best chance. Anyway, in my toggles, I should be losing money on some series of turns ... I'm not! I don't have interest income (no stock exchanges or Wall Street that would provide that). When I view my Domestic Advisor screen it says I should be losing money, but every turn I get more gold.

My question is, is this a bug? If so what is the latest patch that will fix it? If not, does anyone know what the heck is going on?

I think it is the double gpt bug. With C3C Version 1.0, whenever the AI gives you gpt for something, you will get double the amount you are supposed to (they don't actaully pay double tho, you just get double). It doesn't show up as giving you double, but you get it anyways :) This can be exploited quite extensively.

Get version 1.22 :)

I need the exploit this game, those bastards ganged up on me. Maybe you know this: when I look at the patch page I see mirror 1 mirror 2 mirror 3. What does that mean? Which do I download, or all?

They're just the different sites you can download it from. I suppose it'd go quicker if you chose one closer to where you are, but there's no way of telling which one it is. It shouldn't make much difference anyways. You just download 1 of them btw :)
