Is EBGames doing the same thing as Amazon?

I've been one to feel kind of smirky to feel better than the Amazon.com customers just because I have a delivery confirmation number. However, whenever I've checked it, it keeps saying that the post office doesn't really have it yet and that there's been no progress whatsoever. The difference, though, is that, unlike for Amazon, we can't cancel. Has anyone gotten Civ4 from ebgames online yet?

I ordered from Ebgames online, but I chose that In-Store-Pickup option. It arrived and I picked it up on Wed.

Thanks. I should have it Monday, I think, but that's putting it at the latest. I just was thinking that maybe they didn't have them on time, like amazon did. So, if that's the case, then maybe the postal service is horrible at tracking packages until they actually arrive. I just thought that maybe I'd see some progress in delivery because they promise to update every day on the package's whereabouts.

Usually the USPS doesnt update the tracking until you actually receive the package.

It's a USPS thing. I received Civ 4 yesterday very much to my surprise since my Amazon page estimated delivery for Nov 2 and my tracking number also didn't show the package was picked up yet by the Postal Service. Of course, I'm in Virginia and the Amazon warehouse is in Maryland so it would have been a bit surprising if it did take until Wednesday, Nov 2nd to deliver.

I have a problem with EB Games : why UPS ask me 26 € of shipping if i already paid to EB Games ? The game arrived in 2-3 but i refused to paid again ...

man that sucks, but I think you need to call either EB or UPS about that. I doubt anyone of the forum here can fix this problem.

Did you import it from the US? (Your profile says you're in France.) If so, the extra money UPS wanted is the import tax/custom fees. When I import games from the States (rarely now), I always end up paying 20-30 Euro extra too. It's not the fault of EB or UPS. UPS only pre-pays the tax/custom fees for you in advance. If you bought it from EB in France, then disregard this post!

I just noticed under USPS that you can request all previous and future activity be emailed to you. Not sure if this will provide more detail or not. Will find out in the next four hours.
