hi guys, i admit, i am a scenario freak...
in civilization 3 its impossible to play a descent scenario, the map is all black when you start, and you cant set up dimplomacy before.
i wanted to know if they fixed it in PTW
thanks in advance, have fun

I don't know about your undiscovered map question, but I do know that firaxis has not added any method of setting diplomacy for scenarios.

i cant believe it...
so yet, even after 2 times you bloody buy the game, you cant play a descent ww2 scenario?!
no offense guys, but there is no way i am buying this game(the no offense part was for what i think on people who do, but i wont say it)

You could just set up a MP in PTW and have everyone roleplay their part in the war.

"Who wants to be the French?"

ahhh no PTW for me!!!!
This is really BAAAAD.... I never though that a Good Game could become so BAAAAD!
I might even stop playing CIV3 in retaliation..or maybe not...
Pity, Civ3 had the real good tools ( recourses-diplomacy-units..etc) to make extra cool scenarios, but they had to reuin it for the FANS AHHHH

There are a lot of smart, intuitive people on this BBS that understand the ins and outs of CIV 3 and how to get around things like this.

Just a little time and I'll bet there are solutions to many of the "problems" with PTW and the scenario editor.

i still dont get it...
what is this contempt that firaxis are teating us with?
after buying the game twice, you still cant play a descent WW2 scenario, come on!!!
not to mention the fact they release PTW all fu*** up, and full of errors.
we deserve more, but since you are fanatics, you arent gonna get it, you would scream in joy even if after installing PTW you would see its Civilazation1-beta.
this is the only game i know that things are taken out of ithe new versions, so that they can be added later for more money.
I.E Scenarios, Guerilla, and so on...
come on, time for us to wake up, and tell them firaxis guys what we think.
by the way, i dont blame them, we keep on buying the game, and i wish i would be in their shoes, just sell something, no matter what, and people will buy.

I must say I was really conned into buying CIV3 expecting to have scenarios in it. My expectations arose from reading stuff in civ3.com and reviews with Jeff where thry kept bragging about how they thought that their winning card is the ability for the fans to customize and make scenarios to keep the game never ending. however as dissapontinted as I was for the lack of scenarios I enjoyed Civ3 but not as much as I did Civ2. Anyway now the PTW comes up with no scenarios and a buggy MP!! I will not be conned by these guys again even if the game cost 5 dollars!! I will wait until someone can prove that PTW has all the features that were in CiV2 but with the wxtended gameplay in Civ3. Moreover I learned a lesson not to buy a sequel game unless it has really proven to be better and more developped!
