hey there, i know that theres no option to do this but i was wondering if theres any files you can change to do it or any thing, would love to play civ at a high res, thanks for any help

If you add KeepRes=1 to your conquest.ini file the game can be played in your desktop resolution.

I've done this to my Conquests version but when I play GOTM I have to play in PTW or VanC3. Is there a way to do the same in PTW? I didn't want to introduce too much stuff in the ini file....

AMD Athlon XP 2200XP+
512DDR Ram
Radeon 9000 128mb Gfx
1280*1024 Monitor
don't really affect the game at all except the in city screen and main menu aren't the full size of the screen, get a nice looking game though, only ever experince slow downs in the latter end of the game on huge maps, the fast loading mod didn't really change my loading times at all either, if anything made them longer, shame it gets annoying in the latter end of a game, oh well it's playable, i seemed to have strayed of the topic a little bit lol, thanks for the help again mate, another thing i was wondering is if windowed mode is possible?

I recently got a new 19" LCD screen and after getting useless help from the Civ3.com "support" people, I found someplace here on the boards that the instructions above work. New screen goes to much higher resolution than the old 17" CRT.
I have had NO stability problems whatsoever.
And if there were stability problems, I would think the "support" people would have said something like, "...you can do this, but we do not support, nor can we guarantee the results of modifying the standard configuration, your user agreement states that we will not be held liable..." or something like that.
