I like the new improvement of the BTS graphics, I wonder if I can lunch the original Civ IV game and use the same graphics

Lunching the game is not recommended, as you would risk suffering serious constipation.

Graphics stay the same but performance is better in BTS.

imho graphic performance and visual have changed, I 100% sure that the animation is smoother.

I think that except for EDU stuff, all the other improvements to graphics are code-based, so you can't use them in vanilla or warlords. That is to say, it's not the resources themselves that have changed (buildings, units, textures, etc.), it's the way the game engine draws them, and you can't copy-paste that into vanilla folder.

On Vanilla and Warlords, I always played with "Fast unit moves" to save time.
The first time I played BtS.... I had to check no less than 3 times that I had actually turned "fast unit moves" on because something was clearly not the same.
A silly example, perhaps.... but something that I noticed immediately within the first turn of BtS.
