Is the game manual complete and good?

The Official strategy guide is not as so detailled as I though.
There is different interesting analysis which explains how to combine different parameters of the game according to your strategY.
I've not read it deeply right now... I will tell

It's also full of errors, some of which are very confusing. The 2 biggest:
It states that to claim a resource it has to have its improvement, and be in city radius, OR have a road. In fact, it must have a road (or river) regardless.
It states that in the city view, you can see what religions are in your city, and what percentage of your population belongs to each one. In reality, there are no percentages, a religion is simply present or not.
