I'm going to have to go along with Lone Wolf here. Bill Bisco's questions might give you an idea how long the game will be and/or how well you're doing, but FfH games always tend to be long. Actually, I think that's fairly typical of all Civ games.
Not that unusual, though like others have said it depends on game speed/map size. How are you doing compared to the other players? FFH games can be very long though.
Well my first FfH 2 game was as every other one on normal speed and erebus map it took me 16h playing as the sheiam to get conpuest (3 destroyed,3 vassal) but you could take away 1.5 hours because I played it for fun with my mes habber of dis (drill 4 combat 5 etc. and 42 strengh)
It doesn't seem that long to me, but that may be because I always use Advanced Start games with a lot more than the default points to buy stuff.
I've recently gone back to playing some Ancient Start Games again after a long time of only using Classical Starts (largely because I broke my last version of FfH and have been trying FF again, and their Classical start is too advanced), and was shocked at how much worse the AI research is then. It seems I'm always way ahead in techs in Ancient Start Games, but the AI usually out techs me in Classical starts. The Barbarians are a lot stronger in Classical Starts too, and almost always manage to get Tumtum.
Their flavors make them delay researching important economical stuff. Once I fooled them to think that Education, Code of Laws, etc is important for military by giving these techs large military flavours, they are better.
