If you milk a game, and in the year 2050 you win. Does it matter which victory type you choose ? Conquest ? Space race ? Cultural ? Do these produce a different Bonus for winning ?

For instance, would a space race victory pay more than a cultural one ?

Thanks :)
by the way, your HoF Monarchy Large map top score is hanging by a thread. Will finish it today I hope. have slmost 9000 and still isnt 1900AD yet. getting 35 pts a turn, seems I cant get more.
127 turns left.. it will be close depending on the bonus. is it 500 ?

My score pr turn has dropped to 32... 100 turns left.. I am micromanaging like crazy.. but it seems I will end up with 12858 + the bonus. :hmm:

I need more power, scottie.. !!!

 There is no win bonus when you finish the game in 2050 AD.
The bonus is the amount of turns remaining when you win the game multiplied by the game level (chieftain=1, warlord=2, etc)...

Thanks Darkness...

I will end my game RIGHT now cus the score has dropped even further. 25 pr turn now.. still declining... @@@@ it !!

11408... could never beat it, so it was no point in milking any further.. 13900 is a score to be respected :)
I did play on archipelago, 60 % water, wet and 5 billion. What did u play, svar ?

Damn, didn't post fast enough...

I was hoping to stop you from quitting the game...

EDIT: If you had a hundred turns left on Monarch level, your bonus would have been 400 points (100 turns x Monarch=4). As long as you were getting more 4 points per turn by milking, then milking would have given you a better score.

Early win bonuses are only worth it on small and tiny maps, and not even always then....

In other words, large maps should always be milked to the bitter end if your purpose is score...it all depends whether you're aiming for the high score main page or the fastest finish subcategories.

The default HoF page is based on raw score. If you look at the left drop down menu though, you'll note that you can break down the tables by specific victory conditions. On those tables the lists are ordered by fastest finishes with scores used as tie breakers. (It's all considered the same HoF.)

I had 45 turns left, so lets say 22 pts pr turn.. 990 pts
instead I got 45 x 4 = 180

anyway.. I dont care, cus I didnt beat the high score :)
I can start another map ..
Diety maybe

Monarch is just tooooo easy.. boring almost

Try loading a huge map and chasing EMan's score...:p

I might just do that !...
By the way... when u submit a file.. u send 2 files, for start AND end ?

Aeson prefers the 4000bc, the 10ad and the turn just before you win, plus a notepad file of instructions how to finish the last turn.

Actually, the End-Of-Game Bonus is:

(2050 - Current Year) * Difficulty Level

For example, if you finish the game in 2005 AD at Monarch Level, you would get an EOG Bonus of:
(2050-2005)*4 = 180

SirPleb's Projected Score & Date Calculator is a MUST for an HOF Milk Run! :)
