Will "victories" be too easy, again?

I'm sure most people were surprised to see the game on the developer stream end via "time" rather than a victory condition. For me, it was a pleasant surprise. I'd prefer that most sessions finish at the end of the age rather than a "victory condition".

Anyone who has finished Civ 6 knows how easy it is to get a victory condition. Everyone has their story of winning via space race in the 1800's or of simply pressing end turn for 20 turns while waiting for the UN vote victory. A game going to 2050 usually meant a loss, or a 12 hour slog.

I'd love to see victory conditions being uncommon. It sounds more fun to race the clock as "time" progresses organically (via age score) rather than coast to victory over AI speed bumps.

As the devs pointed out in the stream, the likelihood of a score victory will depend on the setting you're using for the age length.

Also, my gut feeling says that the vast majority of people don't want games to end in a score victory.

(regarding Civ VI: I've once won a game, either on Immortal or on Deity, not 100% sure, in 1150 AD, and I don't mean by religious victory - and usually I'd win sometime around 1700 AD on Deity)
