I'm still looking for a way to give myself some kind of bonuses in every game. My last try was with policy system and although the game became much more funner to me, it had two major flaws.
1. Changing such a big number of policies was lagging the game for even 3 minutes sometimes. It was very annoying.
2. AI was smart enough to stay with Chiefdom - the government that I chose to get 20 card slots - to the end of the game.
Now I wonder if I could use the bonuses to science, culture, faith, production and gold, that AI uses for some difficulties. I don't want to use trainers, because their effects are way too powerful and it doesn't feel good to me.
So, does anyone has an idea how could I approach this? Or at least, does anyone has an idea how could I grant the player any secial bonuses?
