I have a habit to create a backup copy of a game or software I buy and then I use copied one and keep original in safe place. So if anything goes wrong with CD, I don't need it to buy again. But when I tried same with Civilization then that backup CD didn't work?

Can someone will please help, if have any idea how to create backup CD.

Thanks in advance.

Exactly - the copy protection prevents you.. :(

If you don't want to use (and wear out) your CD though, you should get a No-CD crack - with this installed you don't even need a CD to start the game :)

dunno what your playing it on, but i heared that with macs there is an application, i think it comes standard with newer systems that basicly takes waht is needed to simulate the cd, thus it runs the program off the same type of thing as o cd crack, but more legal.

Similar winblows software is out there, named like hard liquor.

Constantly loading and unloading a disk is a pain. I highly recommend a no-cd patch. You can download one, or get a program that can fix your program. Try searching for game copy.
