Not to start a comparison thread here in civ4 they had specific anti unit class promotions for every class of unit bonus vs melee, archer, gunpowder and so forth, In civ5 they only have formation(+vs mounted) and the one vs tanks. Personally i would like to see a return to this. There are other promotions I would like to see. Really just anything so my keshiks don't run out? Are there any other ones that you would to see? And what would you change with the promotion system if you could?

Well, you have a point...though what I think about the Keshiks is that they are plenty powerful, but, yeah they do "run out"...somewhere in the Industrial era..

When I play as the Mongols I always feel the pressure to get to the Keshiks fast and then to use them quickly doing whatever I'm planning in terms of taking out other civs. A Keshik with range and logistics is quite the thing...four or five of them along with an un-upgraded Horseman [...or a Cavalry unit if it's that late in the game].... will wear down a rather strong city, even ....near the end of their effectiveness.... at a weak rate of under 10 hit points per volley.

What I don't like is that the Keshiks don't upgrade to some modern ranged unit....but this is an old debate....
