I am pretty new to the Civ series but somehow i feel like this is not going the way it should be.

DLC; Rise and Fall.
Civ. : the Dutch.
Level: King.
Speed: Quick.

Picture 1. I own 2 tiles of the 4 tile Pantanal wonder in my city of Eindhoven and It says it provides standard adjacency bonus for Specialty Districts.

Picture 2. Looking at my City Details however i find out that i get a total of +9 science adjacency bonus just from this Pantanal tiles. Almost the same goes for my commercial district and my industrial district to be build.

Picture 3. Even stranger it occurs to me that the same huge bonus is given to me in other districts in different cities, far away from the Pantanal Tiles.

With a huge lead in science and a +100 in gold i feel like all i have to do is be the first to find the Pantanal wonder and easily i can win every game at King Level.

Is this a glitch, or am i missing something.
Thanks.

I think you are using mods and some of them are causing the problem here. As far as I know the Pantanal never gave adjacencies for marsh tiles. Also it makes no sense at all that the shown campus gets a bonus of 9 from this based on the description the Pantanal tile provides since there are just 6 tiles around it. Infact there is not a single marsh tile around it, so imo the bonus should be +0 there.
Since it does not say "in this city" in the description its an empire wide bonus. So its fair to say it works in The Hague. Then again there is no marsh tile adjacent to the industrial zone

Thanks.

Atleast i am relieved that you also conclude that it is some kind of glitch and the game is not that simple.

As far as i know i dont use any extraordinary mods so i am just going to restart (too bad, even without the extreem bonuses i was finally having a good game at King-Level) and monitor closely what will happen the next time i get Pantanal.

But which mods do you use, though? Any that affect natural wonders?

Indeed, at further expection i found out that i am using something called TERRA MIRABILIS.
I cant remember when and why i ever installed this, so excuses for taking up your time.

It stills feels kind of buggy to me, so i will just remove this mod. After all, i still have to complete a game of Rise and Fall on King before i can start with Gathering Storm, so i dont need all this added stuff for now.

Sadly I can't load your save since I'm missing the "Huge - Earth" mod. Can you post the link for this one?

So what I found out so far:

Even though the pantanal tooltip say so it has nothing to do with marsh at all. I tried buying more marsh tiles, chopping some and so on. Infact even if you place a district next to a marsh tile you wont even get a bonus.
The bonus is tied to tiles next to rivers instead. (Might be a hint that this behavior is tied to the Dutch since their ability is also adjajencies for rivers.)
And it's calculated for every city individually. I still dont have a clue how it is calculated though.

Thanks for giving it your time and effort anyway. Well, i just unsubscribed the "Terra Mirabilis" mod and everything is back to normal, complete with my struggles to overcome the AI. Love this game though.

Annoyingly, sometimes subscribed mods can be reactivated when they are updated by the creator. So I find it’s always worth double-checking your mod settings before starting a new game.
