Firaxis can you please implement a victory condition that facilitates this.

Conquest :D

Its not all that easy however, as you will need better troops at some point. Actually there are pretty few things you can conquer with just warriors...

My idea is that you build a big military, then declare war with your guys on the border and destory all their cities.

Hi

This is big news to me. Normaly I declare war with one clubman, while hiding him in the most remote city on my continent. :mischief:

:Sorry (I couldn't help it)

sounds like a good strategy that works according to most.
And u don't have to read all those strategy articles.

That's why they invented the quechua. Well HC is such a weak leader that I guess he really needed that..

Yes, its a good idea. It is the prime definition of the following terms:
Axe Rush; Conquest Victory; Effective Army Raising; Lang Grab; Aggressiveness; Montezuma; Genghis Khan;

Brilliant, original, but perhaps slightly over elaborate.

I think this article deserves its own link on the War Academy guides.

Well Bob alot of posters seam to be having a little with yah, I'll try and post a potential helpful answer.

1) The game is about building a civilization which requires some sort of economy, bottom line. Military is almost always needed, but occasionally you can win by never going to war.
2) Building military is fine and alot of players are very agressive. Howevertwo things you should know, you need to pay for the troops and you need to tech to move them up in power.
3) At a minimum you should be getting animal husbandry, bronze working, iron working, and worker techs as your wars will go alot further.

Bets of luck.

I have an idea too, what do you think: build a civilization that will stand the test of time.

Yes, I know but Portugal arguably one of the weakest civs in Civ3.

in the Discovery Channel TV series about the history of video games, this industry expert was quoted briefly about Civ and literally all she said was something like: "Civ is a game where you can build a civilization to stand the test of time".... I was like, uh, thanks for reading the box for us! :)

I think he was being sarcastic...unless you are too...

Hehe I guess I was somewhat sarcastic ;)

But honestly I don't think that HC is such a weak leader, especially in the later game.
OK, Ind really sucks but Fin is fine (haha...)

I was wondering.. Is this game you guys call "Civ" a good game? I was thinking about going to buy it..
