Is this problem just on my PC or does everyone have it??

hi


i was wondering does everyone have the same problem as i do with the civ 4 warlords leaders? i have examples to show you below

as you can see that stalin's hand and side of face is very scratchy, and on wang kons face there are alot of lines that shouldn't be there. this only happens to a few leaders, but not all of them. does everyone have the same problem or is it just my graphics card?

Almost certainly do not have the latest drivers however. Please do not flame me because of that.

well i have a radeon 9250 and it comes up with this problem, is it because i dont have the latest patch?

Same Problem.

ATI Radeon 9250 and I made sure that the newest drivers are installed,
therefore it´s no problem with the driver version.

The only way at the moment.

But there is still the chance that the developers from Firaxis read this and use the informations given in this thread to create a patch that fixes the problem for Radeon-Cards.
(or that there will be a future version of Radeon Drivers that solves the problem)

As this is the only problem the Radeon 92xx seems to have with the game, I see no reason to buy a new card, after all its just a slight graphical error which just affects a few leaderheads, nothing which IMHO negatively affects the gaming experience. Therefore I´ll just wait till the time that Firaxis (hopefully) solves the problem.

yes i have emailed firaxis about this problem, if you take a look at the warlord's box bottom you can see the system requirements. It clearly says you must have a Radeon 7500 or better. we by far have better models than the 7500, and there is still problems. Firaxis should fix this problem as not all leaderheads have this problem.

Almost cetainly it's a shader problem, you must copy the file, ie: cyrus_noshader.nif and paste it in the cyrus custom assets folder, rename it to just cyrus.nif, see if it works .

i gott a good idea buy both a graphics card and some skin treatment oil then if it wasnt the graphics card u could rub the oil on the computer screen and they will look better

i can't see the files. do you know the directory to them?

wait i found the files for the leader heads. But it doesn't seem to work, maybe i am doing it wrong. can you please explain it more clearly?

hm... i have a 9200 SE too, but no problem running the game with an (even outdated) omega driver...
