Issues with seeing unit stats

Hi!

I started playing civ 5 vanilla. For some reasons I don't see enemy unit strength when I mouse over. Also terrain bonuses, combat odds... nothing.

I see some stats when I attack barbs. Is it really that I have to learn by experience how strong all new units (to me) are?
