Seeing the screenshots I think 12 men for one unit is a bit excessive. Don't get me wrong, I loved the cyborgs in Next War, but 12 seems excessive. Is there a scale we could use to possibly make it anywhere from 1-12 men per graphic? (I would prefer 5-10)

you can probably change it so there's only a single man per unit, that's what they allowed in Civ 4.

I've always preferred the standard 2-3 units/tile. It's more eyepleasing than single-unit, but faster than giants hordes. :)

I for one love the 12 man units - gives more immersion into leading vast armies

Must...resist urge...to...say...it...

It doesn't really matter as much to me, but I think the 12 units is fine.

I found that the 3 man unit took the worst from both worlds; it's needlessly clunky unlike the single man unit and it lacks the immersive feeling of the battalion sized unit.

Italisized the unit titles cause they're a pain to read:p

I think it looks cool.

That's what she said!

Unlike everyone else, I gave into the Dark Side. They had cookies.

But yeah, 12-man units are good, in my view. Like Xen said, it will give you the impressino that you're controlling a vast army.

If there is he option to geta single man per tile like in Civ4 then I will use that. If not then they probably madsure that the 12 men are not going to slow the gamdown too much so it will probably be fine.

its "looks" nice but I know I would turn it off after a a few games, assuming the option was available. I play for the mental stimulation that the games provide and not the "eye candy".~

when I played civ4 without single unit graphics every 3rd or so time I clicked on the civics, domestic, foreign, science etc etc advisors i would get a blue screen ( I call it the blue screen of death) I would also get the blue screen every 2nd movie. To fix this I had to turn graphics to medium and put on single unit graphics. If they don't include an option tu turn off the 12 men thing I might get so pissed at civ because i can never play 4 turns without the game going t the blue screen that I might not play it anymore:(

Chances are that even if you can not turn off the twelve units, the blue screen error will be fixed.

As long as I can easily differentiate between the units, I'm happy. With twelve to sixteen men in a single tile, they better put a lot of work into this!
