I've never used the editor but wondered if this was possible

I want to set my civ to have the diety/Sid discounts and a civ across the pangaea to have the same. The AI between us to be playing as if they were the humans playing against me and the across the way diety/Sid players.
I want to have it so that I, along with the other AI across the way, chew up the competition, and then have a battle at the end.

No, unfortunately. All AIs get the same bonuses.

You can edit some of their advantages though - by using the Civ Multi-Tool (can be found in the Customization & Creations forum).

The Multi-Tool is a savegame editor; so simply start up a new game, save BEFORE you build anything - and then you can load up the save and start editing. I'm not sure how much you can edit - but you can atleast remove their extra units and adjust their different commerce values and bonuses.
