I tried some times to win this scenario as Japan. Conquering is kind of easy, China collapses pretty often and in one of my games Korea declared war on China, weakening their own army and allowing my own starting army to conquer them with no problem.
The main issue here, however, is technology. Britain is always too ahead of me even when I spy on them to catch up. I also need to know how to build a massive army to conquer all of the required lands.
A major difference with the 3000 BC and 600 AD scenarios is that my cities are prebuilt and the first UHV is already checked.
