Jargon

I've seen this one recently and have no idea what it means:

IIRC

And I humbly submit this one:

Poprush: Hurry production (as in Despotism, Communism, and Facism) by killing citizens.

IIRC is If I recall correctly, and is not a Civ acronym, so is not there.

MA = middle age/modern age
IA = industrial age
GA = golden age

I can't beleive those were missing ;)

MA stands for modern armour.

Besisdes, these mixed letter thingies aren't exactly jargon. They're abbreviations.

And I've seen the use of "mace" and "rambo" (which by the way fulfil the definitions of jargon :crazyeye: )

I totally agree ... a month ago I posted a question on Netiquette where I was directed to a site giving meanings for common terms eg. IIRC, IMHO, etc ... which was indeed needed because one of the first replies I received to a posted query consisted of random packets of letters and wierd pseudo english terms ... in short a totally different and confusing language ...

So let me start this off ... I have an idea but would like definitions and corrections for ...

Troll - someone who acts rudely and aggressively or to be rude
Flame - acting agressively
Spam - totally unrelated or irrelivant information
Bump - to post a comment on an old/dead post and thereby activating it
Cross post - to open to identical threads on different forums

Can't think of any more but i know that they are out there ...

Isn't cross-posting when two posters reply to the same thread at the same time? :hmm:

Cross post is a USENET term for threads that are posted to multiple newsgroups. Similar use of the term in Internet forums is understandable.

MOSR/EOSR = Monarch/Emperor OCC Space Race

I've never heard MOSR or EOSR. I prefer Space One City Challenge Emperor Race for Emperor, although it's a bit wierd. :)

Soccer weird? No, football (game played with hands) is weird.

I meant that it's a bit wierd that the words "Space" and "Race" were completely separted in my acronym.
