Wow, what a slugfest. We lost a good deal of units during my turnset, partly due to some bad luck (losing 3 96%+ fights in a two turns!) but also just because I was more concerned about speed rather than casualties. Our production is quite strong now. Amerarabia will fall next turnset, after which we just focus on Monty.

The situation right now. Our Empire, with copious signs for new tile improvements thanks to Biology (I remove the sign when a worker starts on the tile improvement. It's not to be bossy, I do this in my SP games when I get Biology too - it's too hard to keep track of it otherwise. :))

Notes

1. We have forces near Mecca. I haven't moved most of them this turn yet, because he has 3 artillery to counterattack with and our forces are split. I'm not sure if we should divert the naval forces to Washington's last city. We have 4 tanks and an artillery that can land this turn, but I don't want them to be wiped out. On the other hand, we also have an infantry/cannon stack closing in, but it's wounded and will get wiped out if it goes through the open terrain. We have significant forces north that had just razed Medina, but they're very wounded after a Saladin counterattack.

2. We only have 3 tanks threatening Washington's 2 SAM city, but they're wounded. I don't think we'd have more than a 50% chance to take the city. It only makes 1 :hammer: per turn, though, so we can wait on it. We can also move the troops outside Mecca down to capture the city in two turns, then pick up the 3 tanks for use on Mecca. That'd give the (now pretty short) infantry-cannon stack time to heal in the forest.

3. We have some forces near Monty ready to start things up pretty soon - they took out America's city up there.

4. Our military significantly declined during my turnset... :blush: That's due to being reckless to take out Amerarabia as quickly as possible, and also that I built infrastructure in some of our production cities (Coal Plant + Airport in Rendaku, for instance.)

5. We have a settler in place near a city spot I marked that can claim gems for happiness. I'm also building a settler for a toehold/bombing location in Monty's lands. Grabbing the wine+spice near Madrid would be nice :)

6. Culture is at 30% - that's not to fight WW as much as that we just need it for city growth now that Biology is in.

7. I can see in the screenshot LP isn't producing anything? :eek: That must have been a :smoke: on my part...

Nice couple of turnsets from Talamane and Armstrong there. Suprising how quick you can steamroll an enemy when Tanks roll in...20 turns and they've nearly been destroyed. Great work.

I phoned my ISP last night, and they (after BT clarifying my line with a line test), are still "looking into it". I asked them to simply recreate my account if they can't figure out the problem, but they won't do that unless they have to.

Alright, I've got it, but won't be able to play til Friday. So if someone wants to swap, please do so.
 
Turn 0 - Turned a tank on in LP. Took a look around, we seem to have enough troops to finish off Sally, but they're mostly injured. I'll heal them up a bit and press on.
Turn 1 - Unit shuffling/healing, and bombarding.
Turn 2 - Somre more bombarding and healing. Took out America. I'll finish off Sally in a few more turns once I've healed enough.
Turn 3 - Spawned a GS in Nagasaki. Moved him to Kobeyashi Maru for the Academy bringing it up to 98 beakers. More healing/shuffling/bombarding.
Turn 4 - Bagdad started attacking our stack next to it, so I kinda got pissed and attacked it back. We lost 1 cannon and 1 art, but managed to bring it down to 2 arts. We will take it out next turn.
Turn 5 - And Bagdad falls without any further loss on our side. Even got a worker out of the deal.
Turn 6 - Start the attack on Muscat. Look at that, he actually built a work boat with our battleship sitting on his crabs :lol: Had to suicide a cav to get his sam down some, and took it with no further loss, also got another worker out of the deal.
Turn 7-11 - Healing troops, rallying them to a point on Amerabia ready to be transported to Monte's land. (Played an extra turn by accident :blush: )

All our troops are healed and ready to be transported to Monte. I think I built like 500 tanks during my turnset. We just need to build transport to take them there and take out Monte. We either need fog busters, or cities in Amerabia since barbs are showing up applenty there. I've set up some rally points for the tanks and are building transports to take them to war. I've also got some workers with nothing to do at Kobeyashi Maru ready to be transported to Amerablia either as fog busters or to help with land improvements if needed. Next player should start war with Monte and just move our SODs over.

Also got some city placement suggestions, and a settler/inf pair sitting on one of them. Next player can decide whether to settle there or to build a city on Monte's land and build an airport there and just airlift all our tanks there.

I'd settle on Monty's land first. We can get two more happy resources (Wine+Spices) right away near Madrid, and then can airlift tanks there every turn. Though raging rifleman barbs is kind of funny :)

Nice job building tanks! :goodjob: I inherited 25, and left with 17... :sad: The next player gets... 57!!! :eek:

Edit: Oh, looking at the save, we can turn culture down to 0% now that we have silver & gems online. Only Edo is unhappy at 0%. :)
 
Um wouldn't we need an airport from the point we are airlifting from rather than to. Dis is "I g g g g g got it". Weird looking zips now. Only 57 I was hoping for a couple hundred. Might play tonight if I am feeling ambitious.
 
Most of the cities on our island have airports, so I wouldn't worry about that. But if our destination city does not have an airport, how are those planes going to land?
 
Destination cities do not need an airport, so my guess is the game designers were thinking parachutes. :crazyeye:
 
Wow that was lots of work and well it paid off. I haven't got much of a report since I need to get to the books and study but I wanted to finish this before my time was past the 48 hrs. The pictures will speak for themselves.
(I am also up in another two SG's which I have to hold off until tomorrow)

We razed 10 of Monty's cities. I played to 1995 which is a nice number for the next player to start with and 97% of our forces are on that landmass. He may have only 4 or 5 cities left and the tanks are in position to finish him off. Gentlemen I very much enjoyed playing with you and hope we can do it again some day. I don't have warlords and don't on plan on getting it until I see it in the Walmart cheapie bin. Things will start getting hectic for me next month so I won't have much time anyways. I have been off work for a while and health permitting am getting back into the swing of things again. Thank God I need the distraction of work.

Should be able to finish Monty off in the next players turn. Take care Gents and see you in SG land. We will get our conquest victory no problem I really enjoy razing cities no fuss no muss just keep going and raze more. Monty did counterattack here and there but didn't do him much good not with all those tanks running around. Good job on taking out Ameriarabia. Conquest is tough but we did it as a TEAM.

I'm pretty sure Cosmichail was right in saying the next turnset ends it. Monty has four cities left. We have this:

Yeah, it has been a great game guys. I'd be happy to play with any of you again when the opportunity arises. We work great together setting up for each other to finish off the AI ... even though we didn't even plan it :p

Let JOE be the one to finish this off since it is his variant.
 
His isp must blow wind. If my isp was out that long there would be a revolution. Canada would be at war trust me. We must have our internet as TV sucks so bad these days.

Mainly a :bump: for JOE, but if your internet went out I'd trade mine to ya for your health care. :lol:
 
I hear ya Armstrong and trust me Canadians are fighting hard to keep it that way. (Privatization creeping up here as the supreme court ruled in favour of it)
