The civilopedia states that the Jotnar Staedding can't be built. How do you get the Jotnar Staedding building if you can't build it? It adds +1 to the city radius, I think this makes for a normal BFC?? I haven't tried the Jotnar yet, but would like to try. I need to know aboyt city placement before I start.

Thanks.

The Staedding, IIRC, is a free building for all Jotnar cities, and it actually ~sets~ their radius to 1, not improves it by 1.

I could be wrong, but that is what I seem to recall.

So when it states:

'Changes the Plot Radius of the city to +1'

It means the city has a radius of 1 (like Colonization) and not a BFC?

Yes, that is correct. If you look at the description for the City of a Thousand Slums, it says "Changes the Plot Radius of the city to +3". I've always been confused as to why that misleading plus is there, myself...

Thanks for the clarification.
I'll start a game playing as the Jotnars tonight. :D

Hmm... With the changes Vermicious made for FFPlus, they actually lose all number of cities bonuses, moving over to Distance bonuses. So you're limited in the number of cities you have, but can settle as far away as you'd like... Which is nice, seeing as each Staedding is basically a Jotnar family.

I actually really like the Jotnar in FFPlus; many of the Plus changes I don't agree with (no offense), but I have always felt the Jotnar should have few, widespread cities instead of the opposite.

Does that mean that you got rid of the city maintenence reduction bonus from the jotnar house of ancestors? Because that is what reaaly allows city spam. Follow order, build that, courthouses, and basilica's, and you have a -110% city maintenence reduction, and thats before any law mana. Even following RoK (or any other religion... but there is really no point in any religion other than those two), getting -70% before law mana is still a DRASTIC reduction.
