Julius Caesar, so foolish a leader

Louis 14th declared war on me when he was friendly(Little backstabbing @$$hole).So we fought a war where I took a few cities and then we got peace.Later in the game I got nukes,MAs,MIs, and Battleships and WHIPPED THE FLOOR WITH HIM.

One game as Saladin, Louis XIV declared war on me when I was totally undefended, His stack was first on the other side of a huge lake....and then it marched through Persia. A whole 1 axemen, an archer, and a longbowman. So, I eventually sue for peace and decide to wipe him out. I compile a stack of about 7 camel Archers, 11 catapults, and about 15Maceman, and slowly prepare to invade. Two turns before my DoW, Loius XIV declares war on me! It was sheer stupidity, he invaded with a Warrior, 2 crossbowman, two axeman, and a catapult. Idiot! I preceed to raze city after city, until I've raised PAris, Orleans, and and one north city, leaving him with three cities. I then use the AP to wipe him off and 5 other civs decide to kill him. He still refuses to give me anything worthwhile for peace, despite the fact my kill ratio was much better than his.

Hint to everyone, kill Louis 14th when you get the chance.

I like to play him now and then though. I love the 2 MP musketeers but they become obsolete so fast.

Dumanios, Delaware, Ohio? Hey, we're almost neighbors. :)

Awesome, you guys can meet up for some cow tipping. :D

The OP's post remineded me of something I'd posted previously, so without further adieu, the Best of Bestbrian:

"This reminds me of an old thread that someone posted where they were very upset that they had Monty as a neighbor and Ol Skullhead demanded the Poster's Stone resource in tribute. The Poster was very upset about this, but Monty was more powerful and had him by the short and curlys, so what could he do? So, my advice to the Poster was to give Monty the Stone, then cottage over the quarry to spite the bastard. The Poster's reply was "Oh my! The things you can do in this game".

I loved that.

Anyway, the AI Begging Mechanics seem pretty whacked. Current game I'm playing as Hannibal on a Sweeeeeet map, and I'm just rexing and teching and gettin' ready to go take someone down. And who shows up on my door but none other than Joe The Pris from Portugal. He's number two in score - I'm first and almost double him. What does the Loser From Lisbon proceed to do? Yes, he demands a tech in tribute from a workboat off my coast. Ooooh, I'm sooo scared of the mighty Portugese navy. So I give the Schmuck Literature and figure he'll have something to read whilst I put him at the top of my list. Has anyone read the code for this? How does the AI think this is a good idea? I mean, Hannibal looks like Chuck Norris - Joe should just go whistling past the graveyard."

BTW: That game ended with a Dom victory after my Marines/Carriers/Battleships stormed his coastal cities and took them from the girly grips of his pathetic Riflemen. :D
