I can't remember how to download files from the global place. Where is it? There was a Thunderfall post but I can't find it now....
 
global place????? the file server? go to upload at the bottom, then "show uploded files"...

@BCLG100 .. we haven't bothered yet. You really only pack them close together when you are going for max score. We don't care about score.. just conquest :D
 
BCLG: on huge I'd recommend OCN, but the inital ones can be spread out farther, then fillers placed in between. Advantage: you can secure good spots you'd otherwise not get, and alos you can porduce courthouses and temples in the far off cities with little corruoption, then it goes up after you have the courthouse in place...

:lol: here's the game, I'd suggest you play now, then the others as named above.

Play the game until Zimbabwe has produced anopther two settlers (a little more than 20 turns it should be), then pass it on with the settler still in the town.


the next player should also play that far, or, if that is less than 20 turns, play until settler No. 3 of his turn in Zimbabwe is ready.......

If anyone takes the town off settlers, find a conveniten point to stop, I won't be strict on the 20 turns.....

I have science on zero, it cvan stay there until we have sold contact with everyone to everyone (I'd guess around the time of the change to Middle Ages). Remeber, on Regent the first two are content, so you can pump out a few more settlers and scouts before going for militray units as garrison.

India is to the north, expand there aggressively, also to the grasslands in the east, maybe even place cities between theirs :D Go culture on them, for the minimap it looks like they can't go norht. If we hem them in they'll be easy to kill later on!

Got it.

Yep, nice starting position. I see you have found some techs in the goody huts. My studies indicate that expansionists get 35% techs from goody huts on Monarch level, so on regent we should get a little more.

You were probably lucky to get a settler so soon. On Monarch you should get a settler 14% of the time, but the probability is zero unless the other civs have an average of at least as many cities as you have.

We can bottle up the wine and drink a little ourselves, and for the export bottles put the "Zulu-fandel" label on it.:)

Heiner, are you sure about the .bic being unaltered? For an experiment, I changed the production to warrior and ended the turn. A reg warrior has 6 hit points!

Don't misunderstand, I actually prefer modded games. Especially the AI to AI trade rate, which seems to be at 100, which is what I want. But I just want you to know what you have.
 
sumthinelse, as I wrote above, I started a new one when I remembered the AI-AI trade thingy :blush:....... this one is based on my mod, I'll post the changes again... wait one...
 
I based the game on my mod, which has the following changes:

- Ancient tech except Monarchy and Republic + ~1/3 cost.
- Max research time 50 turns.
- Hills can be irrigated
- Tundra gives no food
- Resources give more bonus (now it`s worth fighting for them even if they aren`t strategic)
- AI-AI trade is 100% on Regent, 110% on Monarch and so on.
- Bombard changed accordingly.
- 2 new cultural levels, 1 at 5:2, one at 3:2 so rate can be judged better.
- more Uumpfff for battleships (bombard now 1,5 times that of cruisers)
- age bonus (1 to 4 HP) for advanced units,
- better attack for nuke subs and subs,
- changed HP to conscript=4, regular=6, veteran=8, elite=11
- changed bombardment accorgingly,
- added bombardment for all bow-equipped units and all fast units with guns plus tank and Modern armour,
- added free units / town for Republic since now often Monarchy is preferable over Republic because of large Military.
