Kaboth's 8 player PBEM game - Conquests

Warlord Sam should replay his turn

New file received, it's still asking for Greece's password.

I have no idea how this happened, or what's wrong... I definately am playing my Civ, just like usual. I don't understand how this could change in the middle of our game..?

Try and send it to Tweedledee then and we'll go around another turn and see what happens, this is very strange indeed. Your password definately doesn't work when it requests Greece's Superslug?

I have a guess. Make sure you are not playing a game when you try to load the scenario. In other words, make sure you are looking at the main Civ screen and hit the load button. If you are playing a game and try to hit the little circle in the top that brings down the drop down menu and you select load game from there, it automatically selects a civ to load and not necessarily your civ. If that doesn't work, then the save needs to be sent to the game host and let him figure something out. Such as restart the turn.

I didn't even notice it was asking for Greece's until it didn't like my password.

An interesting idea, but not applicable. Our PBEM is the only Civ activity I have under 1.20, so I always load from the main screen. All my other Civ time takes place in my 1.15 and 1.22 installs...

File received, tried to open, but it asks "Enter password for Superslug".
So I don't know what's wrong. Maybe you have tried to open an old save by mistake?

I'll check...

:cringe: :sad: :blush: :wallbash: :eek: :rolleyes: :vomit:
Following Tweedledee's thought, I redownloaded the original .sav from my email. Only this time I did it to my desktop instead of a .sav folder and it worked!

I'm still not sure what happened, but I think I crossed my .sav folders between my three installs (1.15, 1.20, 1.22). How I did this multiple times in one day is beyond me, especially since I've been running a triple install ever since we upgraded, but hopefully this explains the trouble.

Game played and sent...

@Tweedledee: :thanx: :worship: :thumbsup:

Yeah GJ Tweedledee, The problems superslug was describing should have reminded me that loading an overwritten sav was indeed the problem.
