Kazza is a napster clone that allows you download music software and movies. Nice difference is if a download fails or your pc locks up, the partial file is saved and you can resume when you reboot and log back in. I download most of the new movies that are still in the theater a week after they have been out. Some times the audio and the video images are not that good but you can see the movie. I have tried to down load software but I have never gotten it to work. A message was posted in the general discussion, where the member stated he found CIV II there. He downloaded it, found a cd crack and he was in business. Just an F.Y.I most files are rather large at least the movies are. You will need a good connection. I have DSL so if I connect with someone which also has a good connection I can download 300mgb in about 1.5 hrs. Here's the link if you want to check it out.

Kazaa/Morpheus(same thing anyway) is pretty good, especially because u can d/l from several clients at once and get a good speed that way.
But I don't use it that much. Just installed it to get some MSI tracks :D Hard to find those here in europe :o

I like AGsatellite. Easier to use.

I also found Kazaa couple days ago. But many times I just cant get good speed.

Yea I know what you mean about the speed. It might take a while in order to find someone with a good connection. When I connect to someone slow iI will hold the transfer then search for more sources. I can find a decent speed that way. I just think it is awesome for the movies. I just Down loaded Bubble boy, Ghost from Mars and "Captain What ever the hecks Mandolin" for my wife   :goodjob:

Oh yeah....I LOVE those programs!!!

While the programs are ok, and popular they are super spyware and adware. They load all this crap in the background that you don't know about. You may want to check your system for them!!!

Some of the ones I've noticed are:
Newdotnet
savenow
webhansor agent
gator (Although this one can be installed on it own too)

But these are fairly well know ad/spy ware. Just be careful.... ;)

So that's what savenow is! I never understood what it does. And they have some nerves - savenow always asked me to update it's version. It was so annoying that eventually I deleted it.

I downloaded Civ2 Gold via Morpheus yesterday, and i could'nt get the blasted setup started :slay:

I know what you mean, I tried down loading the sims, DeusX and a bunch of other stuff but it never works.

When ever I down load software I always check out the add/remove option in control panel. This way I can kkep track of anything the download might have added to my computer which I did not want. I even go as far as to check my reistry to ensure the crap is gone.

The best thing about Morpheus is downloading all the Simpsons episodes, and watching them right inside the program! I love the movie theater, its awesome.

You can find tons of movies too... ;)

These are also know as Trojan Horses. They will not tell you the full nature of what they do, what they observe, the links that you may follow, the programs you have installed, etc.

It pays to know the basics of the registry... if nothing else, then how to delete programs from the Registry's HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Here is a Registry Editor (this one is by Norton Utilities):
