Kill Soothsayer

I'm new to Apocalypse mode and enemy soothsayers are driving me nuts. How do I attack them? I keep reading threads saying they are "support units and any military unit can attack" but my military units refuse to move into the Soothsayer hex and don't attack. Has anyone killed a soothsayer and please tell me exactly how did you do it?

No - but it would not let me start a war. Thinking about it - I'm Wilfrid Laurier so I can't start wars. That's probably my issue - a bit unfair that people can blow up a volcano in my territory but I cannot defend myself. I need to experiment with other leaders.

Fight fire with fire - they blow up your volcano, you blow up theirs.

THough I've almost never seen an AI actively sabotage any of my natural features while not at war, they mostly keep them to themselves and use Soothsayers for the Sacrafice Competition.
