I didn't even notice that it was a joke and was quite immersed in that splendid tale until the punchline took me by complete surprise!

Anyway, in addition to a knight vs. a samurai or a Mamluk vs. a samurai, what about a Kshatriya Rajput with mail, a steel helmet, a khanda, and a katar? It fascinates me how, in that time period, there were so many similar types of warriors with similar codes of conduct and fighting styles all across the world.
