Laptop reduncy error

I'm installing a 1.09 Civilization on a 1.6 GHz Laptop and it isn't working. When I try to install it, it stops halfway and gives me a cyclic data redundency error or something like that jazz. Please help.

do you use dvd or cd to install the game? This error are usually caused by bad surface /scratches on the disk. Can also be a sign of dirty optical drive. Replace the disks or clean your optical drive.
