Laptop running a x600 ATI - Works..sort of

K, here is the skinny. At home I use a external monitor to play on. Its a 19" sony Flat Screen. The game run perfect for me. No errors of any sort. Took my laptop to a friends house and tryed to play it, and I get the "fail to" message. So, I thought this might help someone out there play the game. As for running on the laptop, I tryed all the stuff they have you do now to get it fixed, but it still does not work. Strange why it works on the external monitor and not on the main laptop display.

Very strange - I play on a laptop with an x600 (256 meg) as well. (P4 3.4, 1 gig RAM, 17 inch widescreen).

I installed the Omega drivers prior to installing game. Glad I found them as when I try to update the 'official' drivers from ATI they will not download as my laptop is not listed as one of the approved partners??

The only issue I have encountered is choppy Wonder movies. Everything runs as smooth as silk otherwise, including map scrolling and zooming. (so far anyway!) I play in a fairly hi-res with all details cranked up.
