late game gold bug

Hi,

i realized in my latest games that i loose gold in the late game. first i thought it was about espionage. so i turned espionage off and played another game. but still the same. even in my current game (i just had more than 20k gold) i had a surplus of about +~1200 gold per turn my gold decreased - now i am at +1226/turn but still have less than that amount over after each turn

i searched in this forum but haven't found anything yet (maybe i overlooked it so please point me to that post)

has anyone a solution to this?

i have the latest BTS version installed (3.17) - maybe it's a new bug? i do not think i had this problem before - i play it vanilla without any mods except that i use the planet_generator_0_68 mapscript and i override the default map size there (larger than huge) - but i do not think that this should be a problem?

i always start in ancient age - so it takes a while when this phenomenon starts - only solution is to go into the editor and give me my money back but i would avoid that - and there is no way i could get my 20k back - sadly only up to 5k at once ...

Are you running Universal Suffrage and do you have a governor handling production in any of your cities? If so, your governor is rush-buying stuff. If not... post a save and someone can poke around.

they do rush buying?

i didn't know that - if this is true, then this is probably the reason

i think i have to "ungovernor" every city then ... if the problem is the same then i tell you then

ok you are right - i turned the governor off in all my cities and now i have money - i really didn't know that and thought it was a bug and so i had to counter it somehow to survive - now i had cheated in my single player games because of that :(

btw: is there a note somewhere in the manual i overlooked?
