Late game techs

Howdy all;

If my 1500+ hours on emperor level civilizing (yes. Emperor. Dont laugh) has given me the right to make a few suggestions, i'd like to put in for new late game techs.

Everything just sort of flattens out at the end, which is understandable, its speculative history, not speculative futurism. But, i'd like techs to make more military units late game, leading to:

Hypermagnetism(sic): unlocks the railgun, the upgrade to the anti-tank gun. Useful against giant robots and modern armor. Also unlocks the maglev train

Hyperelectricity(sic): unlocks the Metal Storm pod, the upgrade to the machine gun. Also unlocks distributed power networks

Fibre Optic Cables: unlocks smart missiles, the upgrade to AA rockets. Also provides an economic bonus if youve unlocked the internet

Robotics: ok so theres already robotics. But Marines should have an upgrade, turning them into RoboMarines with Jumpjets

...thats it, basically. Upgrades to Marines, MGs (something more hi tech than bazookas) and AntiTank.

Oh, and adjustable difficulty levels mid game. I hate it how i'll get to industrial era, far ahead or far behind, and have no way of changing the difficulty.
