Late Night: Leno vs. Letterman

A few nights ago I had a discussion with a friend of mine… The subject was David Letterman versus Jay Leno. You know, the two late night show hosts of CBS and NBC (ehh, right?)

We were hanging out at my place watching the Tonight Show (Mr. Leno) and having just seen Late Show (Letterman), we began discussing which guy was the funniest.
Anyways, he considered Mr. Letterman to be too ‘old school’ and conservative, I on the other hand find him extremely amusing (Love that Dr. Phil: Words of Advice).

So I decided to bring the question here: Who is the king of Late Night?

For no particular reason I decided to add some charts… Someone at Media Monitor obviously went through a lot of trouble to create these chart, so why not show it?
I love political humour…

I've only ever seen Leno really. We had it on British cable when I was living at home. It was quite entertaining.

What I've seen of Letterman was amusing enough, but I don't know either to comment. Hence, erm, this post.

Same order for me. All three of them are good, though. I don't think Craig Kilbourne (sp?) (the guy that comes after Letterman) is any good, though.

Ah yes, and the Daily Show is also very good. I've never seen Jimmy Kimmel's show, though, and I heard it's pretty lame.

Leno over Letterman, hands down. I like Conan as well, it would be hard to compare him to Leno though, they are so different.

At the moment, I like Conan , but I liked Letterman a lot more when he had Conan's old time slot at NBC. Moving to CBS and the earlier time slot took a lot of the edge away from Letterman. Never ben a fan of Leno.
