Learning through hard work - good but bad?

Custom game, in the bottom middle there are a bunch of checkboxes. It's one of the last. You might have to scroll down to see it. It's named something like "reveal hidden values" or something like that.

The feature is likely working, but more likely learning by doing doesn't. It's known to not really work as well as intended, including not reporting properly. It will hopefully be improved quite a bit before the 2.8 release.
