im only playing my first game but it seems that only some of the lesser wonders were triggered during it, is this dependant on the civ you are or actions you take during the game. for example im the french so i got forbidden palace but not the heroic epic or iron works. BTW sorry if this has been covered before.

to get heroic epics you need to have an army (with a leader) winning a battle
if u are the peaceful guy, then u probably won't get it

most of the lesser wonders require not only technology, but other things...
iron works requires iron and coal within a city's radius (the 2 square one, not your cultural boundary)
heroic epic and military acadamy require armies, or a victory with an army, or something like that (forget exactly)
the others are similar... wall street requires like 5 banks, sdi requires 5 sam sites, etc
