Lethal sea bombardment?

An ironclad bombard a coastal town with bombers in it.
One of the bombers was destroyed.
Do ships have lethal bombardment according to airplanes?

Are you sure that it wasn't the PRODUCTION of bomber that was destroyed. That has happened to me (albeit not with a bomber but some other unit).

Aircraft and ship can lethally bombard aircraft in cities, yes.

I think its a great idea to have lethal sea bombardment, but I didn't think Civ III had it. Maybe I was wrong.

Only in the Conquests expansion, or in mods/scens.

To be accurate, lethal sea bombardment means that if you're bombarding a ship unit, and LSB is on, then you can sink that unit. It doesn't endow any ship unit with lethal bombardment.
