Limit question

you bet. there are a couple mods out there that have added an extensive number of units already. You may want to take a look at them, or at least contact the designers to see if they have anymore information for you.

off the top of my head I can think of, LWC by Plutarck (though he hasn't been seen around in a while and I am not sure who has taken over control of that mod), DyP by Kal-el, Balancer by Elucidus, and Unit Mania by Kestrel18 as mods that have added a number of units. I am sure there are more out there, I just don't have them all at the tip of my fingers. :)

I've added 110 units with no problems with civedit, although the game crashes when I view the civlopedia entry for rubber becasue I have so many units availalable with that tech ('Maximum no. oh hyperlinks exceeded').

I have found the same probvlems with too many units making the civilopedia entries a bit dubious. But otherwise I have never had any problems. with tonnes of extra units. You do need to extend your units32.pcx though. but there's tonnes of advice on how to do that floating around the forums.

I was taking more about ingame limit like in civ2 and civ you could only have a set number of units.
