Forgive me if this is something I should've known about a long time ago but I've never run across this circumstance before. I'm playing C3C on a huge map and not so long ago I "acquired" some cities on an island on the other side of the map.
When I try to rebase aircraft to the island it won't let me. I get the red circle as if I didn't have any airports there. I can airlift units to the island but I cannot rebase any aircraft. Is this something that's always been around and I just didn't know about it?
Having a distance limitation on rebase is probably a good idea so I'm not real upset about it but just wondering if it's a "bug" or a "feature."
If it is a feature that I should've already know about then I wonder why airlift doesn't have the same restriction.

but iirc it is 6 times the operational range
