Links for save games?

I do not, unfortunately, have internet access at home, so in order to play a GOTM, I need to download the setup files at work, zip them onto floppy disks (you know, the 1.4Mb kinds) and load them up at home.

I tried writing down the links for the saved games, but they don't seem to work (perhaps I'm writing badly?)

Is there anywhere else I can get the links for the old GOTMs, from 20 to 23 or so? Obviously it's too late to submit for scoring, but at least it would be nice to play them...

As for GOTM 25 saves, the links are correct, it's just that the saves aren't released until the 1st of the month.

As for the others, I'm not sure exactly. I'm sure someone beyond my knowledge level can and will enlighten you though.

Each of the game dowloads will include a file named either "final_ptw.txt" or "final_v129.txt" and it will be stored in a folder on your hard drive that will be named something like "gotm25 mongols installer" or in a folder with the game number in your scenarios folder.

These game downloads are not meant to be confusing but because you have several choices they are embedded in the setup files that accompany the game pack dowloads.

95% of the technical problems we experience with players not getting the games started smoothly are a result of players downloading the wrong games to match with the wrong software. Even though we only have about 10 to 15 of these events each month and they account for 2-3% of all the games, these issues eat up 75% to 85% of all the crisis management time that gets invested in supporting the games. This is the main reason you do not see the links to save games posted on the webpages seperately from the game setup packages.

You can highlight the text that appears in the final announcement page of the setup installer and then just past that text into any simple text file if that would be an easier method for you to capture the links to the save games that match your software installation.
