Any experianced Linux users here???

I'm trying to set up a network with Corel Linux SE and Win2k. If not file sharing.....at least printer sharing. (I also can't get the sound to work).

Can anyone help me.

<FONT face="tahmoa">Wish I could help you dude. I am afraid I am going the opposite way, and loaded Windows 2000 Advanced Server (120 day trial version). Keep us updated as to the development of your situation on the Linux load. I still want to get Linux working on my system, but since I am studying for my MCSE right now, I think I need to concentrate on Win2k

Run netconfig at the command line is one sure step.

Well, the "help" I can give is that there is absolutely positively an FAQ on every single subject related to linux. I'm sure that what you're looking for will either be covered in a HOWTO or a mini-HOWTO.

well, i'm not sure SuSE uses linuxconfig.

SuSE has yast (or yast2 in later versions) which could be used to configure networks. I haven't used yast for years, but i can tell you the all the networking with Windows is done via Samba. As far as I can remember the mounting of shared Windows drives is done with smbmount command (consult "man smbmount" for details). Printer sharing must be configured through yast (printers->network printer) then it is assigned a name and could be used as local printer with lpr. I don't know how good Samba is with Win2k file system, but it works perfectly with Win9*.
